
Throughout human history, a woman’s femininity and identity has been defined and dictated by the patriarchy, society, and the men surrounding us. Why is it considered radical for women to like themselves unconditionally, and without qualified rationale? In the great words of Brittany Broski, “women don’t get to define the terms of our own femininity.” How do we balance rejecting the patriarchy and the standards of femininity forced on women by society, while simultaneously embracing, owning, and taking control of our own femininity?
